3 to 5-axis CNC milling — matched to the right partner shop in Mexico.
Tight tolerances, documented quality, and a single point of contact. We coordinate engineering review, supplier selection, inspection, and logistics across our network of qualified Mexican CNC shops — so you get one quote, one PO, one accountability. Every project includes a free DFM review.
One quote. One PO. One accountability chain.
Sourcing CNC parts from Mexico without GPW means vetting shops, comparing quotes, managing customs, and chasing inspection reports across multiple suppliers. We collapse that into a single relationship: you send the file, we match it to the right partner shop in our network, our engineering team reviews the design, and we manage production, QC, and delivery to your dock. You never coordinate with the partner shop directly — we own the outcome.
We flag features that drive cost without function, tolerances tighter than needed, and geometries that should be reconsidered — before the partner shop quotes.
A 5-axis aerospace fitting goes to a different partner than a 100-piece bracket run. We know which shop is right for your part — you do not have to.
Inspection reports, material certs, customs paperwork, and delivery to your U.S. dock — consolidated under one Certificate of Conformance from GPW.
Specs that procurement can paste straight into the BOM.
The envelope below covers what our partner network handles routinely. If your part fits inside these limits, we can quote it. Tighter requirements? Tell us — specific shops in our network handle exotics.
Seven categories of milled part.
If your part falls in one of these categories, we have made it before.
Structural Components
Brackets, mounts, plates, frames, and base plates — the backbone of mechanical assemblies. Typically run in aluminum 6061 or steel 4140 with tolerances from ±0.005" down to ±0.001" depending on mating requirements.
Housings & Enclosures
Motor, sensor, electronic enclosures with tight mating surfaces.
Manifold Blocks
Hydraulic and pneumatic manifolds with internal channels.
Fixtures & Tooling
Jigs, fixtures, gauges, inspection tools.
Heat Sinks
Pin-fin and plate-fin in aluminum 6061 / 6063. Copper variants on request for high thermal density.
Prototype Parts
Functional prototypes in production materials — not 3D-printed.
Complex Contoured
Impellers, turbine components, aerospace fittings — 5-axis required.
Compatible with the full GPW catalog.
Most milling jobs use the alloys below. Need a material not listed? Tell us — we likely source it.

Submit RFQ
Upload your CAD file or drawing with material, quantity, and tolerance specs.
DFM + Match
GPW engineering reviews within 24 hours and matches your part to the right partner shop. Quote includes pricing, lead time, and DFM feedback.
First Article
Partner shop machines the first part. GPW signs off the dimensional inspection report before you do.
Production Run
Full batch with inspection per your QC requirements — dimensional, finish, material certs.
Finish + Ship
Secondary ops coordinated, parts consolidated, customs cleared, and delivered to your U.S. dock under one CoC from GPW.
Finished parts, not raw stock.
We coordinate the finishing chain through certified Mexican partner facilities — you get one delivery with all secondary operations complete and documented.
Anodizing
Type II (cosmetic + corrosion) or Type III hard coat for aluminum.
Powder Coating
Durable color coating, full RAL / Pantone range.
Plating (via partners)
Nickel, zinc, chrome, copper for corrosion and wear protection.
Passivation
Chemical cleaning per ASTM A967 for stainless corrosion resistance.
Bead Blasting
Uniform matte finish, hides machining marks.
Electropolishing (via partners)
Ultra-smooth surfaces for medical and food applications.
Heat Treatment (via partners)
Hardening, tempering, stress relief, case hardening through certified heat-treaters.
Laser Marking
Part numbers, serials, logos, date codes.

What file formats do you accept?
STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), DXF, DWG, and PDF drawings. If all you have is a sketch or a physical part, we can work with that too — contact us.
What tolerances can you hold?
Standard tolerance is ±0.005" (±0.13 mm) per ISO 2768-m on all features unless otherwise specified. Tighter tolerances down to ±0.0005" (±0.013 mm) are available on specified features per print — with appropriate fixturing and CMM inspection. We confirm what is feasible during DFM review and match your job to a partner shop equipped for the spec.
What is the typical lead time?
2–4 weeks from approval for standard materials and complexity. Prototypes can ship faster. Expedite service is available — contact us for rush timelines.
Do you offer prototyping?
Yes. No minimum order quantity. We source from 1 piece. Prototypes are machined from production materials — not substitutes — so you test with real mechanical properties.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No. 1 piece to 5,000+ per release. Quantity drives which partner shop in our network is the right fit — prototype-friendly shops for low volume, dedicated production cells for higher runs.
Do you operate your own machines, or do you use partner shops?
GPW operates a network of qualified CNC partner shops across Mexico. We handle engineering review, supplier selection, quality control, and logistics — you get one quote, one PO, and one Certificate of Conformance issued by GPW. You never coordinate with the partner shop directly. The network model gives you access to a wider range of equipment (3-axis to 5-axis simultaneous, Swiss turning, Wire EDM, large envelopes) than any single shop could offer.
How does a CNC milling project in Mexico compare on cost?
Direct labor for a CNC operator in Mexico costs ~$9/hr fully loaded vs $25/hr in the U.S. — a 60%+ delta that applies to every part in every run. Material costs are comparable. Shipping from Monterrey to Texas is 1–3 days by ground. → See full cost comparison
